The FF effects, if you can stretch to those, are also very, very good. All FF filters have extensive YouTube reviews, so you can see and hear exactly what these things do, and how elegant they are. They offer great complexity, but are easy to get started with, and you will hear the difference. You can either use them straight or play around to get just the sound you want. The presets available on these are really good.

Great for making sure everything lines up, and for finding the exact spot when sequencing tracks.Īs for FF, the three I use the most are a combo of Pro-MB, Pro-EQ and Pro -L. wav files vertically as well as horizontally. I will be spending money I haven't got (lol), so less than £100 would be ideal but still painful.ġ) Is it easy to move all your tracks over to Auria from Cubasis?Ģ) I really can only afford maybe 3 FFs as well as the upgrade, so which ones are the best for mixing and mastering - EQ, Compression and reverb?ģ) The upgrades are listed as $, do I pay the $ equivalent in £ in the U.K.?ĥ) Do you also master in Auria Pro? Mix down, then master the mix down?Īpologies, as I know a lot of this has been covered, but it's hard to find specifics on the forum without extensive research and I'd like some confirmation - like a boot up the backside to go ahead!Īuria Pro also has the advantage of being able to pinch expand. I'll continue to build songs in Cubasis then move them over to Auria as it is so easy for me to build songs in Cubasis. It will be a while before FF make them as Audio Units, if indeed they do it at all. I've heard results from others doing this and they sound so much more polished. I also think you should buy the must have expensive ones so you get the most out of your deal.I am getting very tempted to dip my toe into upgrading to Auria Pro and getting a few Fab Filters, just so that I can finish my tracks off in it.
I got vtm, and its a good one, but the ampex does something the others dont I would go for pro q 2 if you also gonna buy the ampex if you go for pro q2, because that tape is someting special, i regret i dident go for the ampex when i had that 3 plugin deal I would have to say that the proq 2 is a really good and very useful tool, i like that spectrum grabber, it got mid side, its a really really good surgical eq with lots of option without get you confused Would be nice if someone who already bought it would jump in on this one also before you have to buy on the VSM-3
Īnd i have seen posts where some says this is some of the best and useful plugin UAD got, the demo on youtube by bx sounded awesome also. Sadly i havent tried the VSM-3 yet, i was warned not to try it because i would spend my money in that one a heartbeat, and this one will not go native, i know that for a fact. The list of plugs I am considering for my 3 bundle:ġ) Vertigo VSM3 (love the tonal possibilities)ģ) MDWEQ or BX DIG or (Ampex if I go with PROQ2)Īppreciate advice, thoughts, experiences, opinions.Īppreciate advice, thoughts, experiences, opinions.i would buy the vari mu instead of shadow hills, have demoed the vari mu and it just do someting nice i dont hear in the other uad comps, i really want that one, the shadow hills i easily could recreate with two other comps, i dont think you can do that with the vari mu PRO Q2 incredibly versatile smooth and incredible workflow/UI.
#MONO BASS FABFILTER PRO Q2 PLUS#
The MS and spatial abilities of the BX DIG was a huge plus there. I am work on my music (not mixing others) in doing all instrumental electronic music in vein of Flying Lotus/Holden/Boards of Canada etc.
Seeing duty on mix bus as well as being my prime all purpose surgical on instruments (elec guit/bass/analog synth/perc/elec drums). If you had to choose one of these 3 plugs which would you go for 1st. Have been demo-ing UAD MDWEQ and UAD BX DIGITAL V2 and Fabfilter PROQ2. I have a 3 plug bundle that I need to decide on by end of today.
